Vacay-Shun! 3 Ways to Keep Burglars Away When You Leave Town

During this particular time of year many Americans typically leave town for a well-deserved (and eagerly anticipated) summer vacation.

Leaving for a trip, however, can definitely leave your residence at risk for home burglary...if you don't exercise the appropriate precautions.

And since we at The Bulldog Bar want to ensure your "home sweet home" remains protected during your time away... Here are

3 easy tips keep your house safe so you can better enjoy your summer vacation:

1) Set your lights at  home to turn on and off using timers. Lights which are on during all hours of the day, especially for more than one consecutive day/night scream, "Empty house!"

2) Ask your neighbors or friends to perform daily checks and collect your newspapers and mail. When given last names, just about anyone can find most phone numbers (including your home phone) on the internet. Names on mailboxes and "untouched packages" can also encourage possible thieves to park outside, dial the number and see if someone picks up. If an interested thief calls your land line and no one answers, they could be more inclined to kick in your front door while you are away!

3) It never hurts to imply a "threat" using signage. Lawns and window signs advertising alarm systems can actually deter many break-in attempts. Should burglars ignore those warnings, the resulting sirens will prompt quick and possibly empty-handed exits from crooks attempting entry into your humble abode.

At The Bulldog Bar we specialize in amazing, high-quality home security products to ensure your loved ones & valuables are protected... whether you are sleeping peacefully in your house or are temporarily away for some "R & R."
