Going with the (Cash) Flow: 4 Tips from theBulldog Bar for Ultimate Protection at ATMs

As you may already know, the crime of burglary doesn't always take place at someone's place of residence-- a burglary can happen practically anywhere.

This includes hotel rooms (while you're on vacation), conventional office environments & even trips to the the bank or the ATM.

With that being said, ATM safety should always be on your mind, because being confronted by a criminal in front of one of those machines could be a matter of life or death.

That's why we at theBulldog Bar have 4 standard safety tips to share with you... so you can have ultimate protection near ATMs-- especially now that the holidays are here (and illegal is signficantly higher during this particular season).

1) Always pay close attention to the ATM you are about to use and be extra aware of your surroundings.
Never opt for using ATMs at the corners of a buildings or in poorly lit areas-- If possible, do your automated banking in public and only use teller machines in well-lit locations which are free of shrubbery and decorative partitions or dividers. Long story short-- STAY VISIBLE for any financials transactions you conduct at an ATM.

2) Maintain awareness of your surroundings before approaching the ATM as well as throughout your entire transaction. It's also essential to make sure that when you're leaving an ATM you'e not being followed. If you think someone may be trailing you after leaving a bank, drive straight to a police station or a well-lit place.

3) DO NOT use ATMs that may seem unusual in appearance or suspicious (based your gut instinct).
Always trust your intuition. If that particular banking machine requests
information which you are not familiar with giving out at an ATM, or asks for security details you never typically provide during bank transactions, DO NOT disclose that information.

4) DO NOT allow people to look over your shoulder as you enter your PIN.
You never know what people may have up their sleeve these days... so rather than being careless about who sees or knows the Personal Identification Number to your finances, try to just memorize your code so you'll never have to write it down or look for it when you're in a place that may just not be 100% safe.

Now that we've discussed ATM protection we should also bring up the importance of door security protection at your home. Being just as cautious under your own roof can also help prevent an unfortunate situation (like a break-in) from happening to you.

Even though you may feel perfectly safe under your own roof.... it could never hurt to have powerful door security locks in place-- specifically on your front, back & side entryways.

Products like theBulldog Bar can not only boost your protection against burglars, these devices can provide you with the peace of mind you need to sleep well at night-- knowing you are efficiently armed against break-ins.
